Fouss Auction & Appraisal LLC was founded in 1997 with a goal of providing professional auction services for our clients. From the beginning, the company was focused on helping business owners and families maximize the returns on their estates and business liquidations. During the initial years of the company, Rob Fouss also served as Vice President of a major nationwide media company. He devoted evenings and weekends to the growth of the auction company, while simultaneously winning National Awards for marketing and advertising in his corporate position. In 2001, Rob won the West Virginia Grand Champion Auctioneer Award representing the highest honor for the profession in any state. In order to devote 100% of his time to the development of the auction company, Rob took early retirement from his corporate position in 2014. • In 2016, along with our Broker Partner Robert L Wright II, we created Fouss Real Estate Auctions LLC. This was the first company in the area to exclusively sell real estate at auction. • The first massive television and social media campaign by any auction company in the area was brought by us in 2017. The ongoing success of our television and social media platforms has been instrumental in driving results for our clients. Our “As Seen on TV” promotions have made us one of the most recognized auction firms across the State of West Virginia. • In 2018 we were the first auction company in the area to completely computerize our operations increasing efficiency and accountability for our clients. • We became the first Real Estate Auction Company in the area to close more than a million dollars in sales in 2019. Now we are a multi-million dollar real estate auction company. • We were the first area auction company to introduce Online Auctions in 2020. We have completed more online auctions than all other local auction companies combined. • Fouss Real Estate Auctions LLC made history again in 2020 being the first auction company in the area to offer online real estate auctions. We have successfully held both commercial and residential online real estate auctions in Charleston, Huntington and Parkersburg WV. • In 2021 Fouss Auction & Appraisal LLC was awarded the prestigious Parkersburg News Reader’s Choice Award as the Area’s Best Auction Company. • In 2022 Rob Fouss, Principal Auctioneer and Owner of Fouss Auction & Appraisal LLC was elected to serve as President of the West Virginia Auctioneers Association representing auctioneers across the state. • In 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025 Fouss Auction & Appraisal LLC was awarded the Parkersburg News Reader's Choice Awards for being the Best Auction Company and Best Auctioneer.
